My Friend Grisha

“My Friend Grisha” documents an intimate encounter between a woman and a carp - a living creature that becomes a surrogate for human presence. Within the sterile, domestic space of a bathroom, the series traces the trajectory of a relationship from its initial contact to its irreversible end. In this staged environment, the carp functions not as a metaphor, but as a physical body — something to be held, touched, and ultimately lost. The project explores the boundary where tenderness meets clinical coldness, leaving its final trace as a visceral reaction on the skin
